Snow Day and Positive Motivation

Well, I ended up eating that extra bowl of cereal the other night.  Then yesterday I stopped tracking my food intake because some students gave me sweet goodies for Christmas.  This morning, I woke up to a snow day and decided I was going to have pancakes and bacon.  Since I didn't track the day before, what's the use of tracking today or making good food choices?

Then I weighed myself and realized I was down 3 pounds already from earlier this week.  I guess I don't need those pancakes and bacon after all!  It's interesting- positive experience motivates positive action.  Negative experience motivates negative action.

I made a run down to the grocery store and stocked up on fruits and veges (they are 0 points are Weight Watchers new program!).  Now I've fixed a delicious breakfast of egg substitute, light english muffin, banana, watermelon, light string cheese, and skim milk (I've never used skim milk before, but I'm feeling adventurous).  I could actually throw a couple pieces of bacon in there, too!

  1. It's one month later... how's it going? Yay for your good choices!! It's been tough at work for me the past few days-- my boss brought in the best cupcakes ever (and I'm really not a big cupcake person). I had 1. And then a coworker brought some in tonight, and I had another one.

However! I went to the grocery store tonight and stocked up on stuff to fix meals for the next few nights. Having a pantry/fridge full of good choices makes it easier to make good choices, doesn't it?

My biggest challenge is exercising regularly. I'm hoping that with Jeremy going back to teaching tomorrow, it will be easier for me to be on a schedule, too.
